PageMill & HTML

Can I view the HTML tags from within PageMill?
No. The design philosophy behind PageMill has been to allow ordinary people
to easily create and edit Web pages, without having to learn cumbersome
HTML codes. If you would really need to see the HTML, simply open your PageMill
document in SimpleText or your favorite word processor.
I want to be able to enter HTML tags directly into my page. Can I do
this with PageMill?
Yes. Although the vast majority of users will never need to do this, we
have provided a 'raw HTML' style (displayed in red) that allows you to enter
HTML tags directly into your page.
What version of HTML does PageMill support?
Currently, PageMill supports HTML version 2 along with some commonly used
Netscape extensions. Future releases of PageMill will support HTML version
3 and beyond.
What does PageMill do with HTML tags it can't understand?
PageMill doesn't discard tags it can't understand. Instead, it simply reads
them in and displays them in the raw HTML style.
The page I just opened is full of red text. What's wrong?
Chances are that you opened an HTML file that has an error in it, or maybe
a non-HTML file. You'd be surprised at how many HTML pages out there have
errors in them (overlapping tags, illegal uses, etc.). Probably the easiest
way to "fix" a bad file like that is to remove all the red text
(raw HTML), and fix up the page in PageMill to look the way you want, then
let PageMill save out the HTML. (Pages created from scratch by PageMill
should never have red text unless you explicitly use the 'raw HTML' style.)
